CAR OVERTURNS
TWO BOXERS HURT.

PAiHIATUA, August 8
A car overturned at Hannta yesterday afternoon and the amateur boxers returning from Wellington were iujui ed.
Joe Franklin, Feather-weight Champion of Poverty Bay, had bis left leg broken and Fred Bennie, Light-weight Champion of Hawkes Bay sustained a severe cut on the knee. Both are in tbe hospital.
The other occupants escaped injury, Mrs J. R. Gregory (Whatatutu, Gisborne), the owner of the car, Airs J. Keeney (Gisborne), Messrs J. Keeney, Reg Gregory, and Franklin. The driver was forced on the shingle in endeavouring, to avoid a collision with another car and the vehicle overturned.
