The L.G.U. Medal match played off Saturday last was won by Miss Jean Houston with a nett score of 70. The following players qualified for the championship :
The first round of the championship will be played on "15th August and the order o lplay is as follows : Miss Houston plays Mrs Macfarlane. Miss Wilson plays Airs Wilson. Mrs Neville plays Aliss Coles. AJiss King plays Aliss Irwin. The following is the draw for the Junior Medal match, to be played on 12th August:— Mrs Alurdoch v. Miss Mclntosh; Miss Billie Yarrall v. GREY GOLF CHAMPION, HOLED IN TWO, OPPONENT IN ONE. (Australian Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, August 10. W. P. McCarthy won the men’s championship of the Greymouth G If Club, defeating Hockin five and four. There was a unique occurrence at the fifth hole, when McCarthy holed in two, and Hockin holed in one.
