WESTPORT TRAGELY
THE INQUIRY. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WESTPORT, August 8. At the inquest touching the death; of Frederick Upliam, held at the Courthouse at 5 p.m. to-da3 r , before Mr E. R. Foxt Coroner, Detective Holmes appeared for the police and others. * Edward Upham, coal dealer, gavQ evidence of identification. He staged he had viewed the body, and it was that of his nephew, who was 32 years of age. He said Lena Maud Upham, in the Court, was the wife of deceased. Detective Holmes asked for an' adjournment sine die. Messrs Aloloney and Black, who watched the proceedings on behalf of ■, Airs Upham, consented to an adjournment, and it was granted sine die. Lena Maud Upham was then charged, before Messrs E. R. Fox and O. D. Betts, Justices, with the murder of Frederick Upham, of Westport, on tlss 7th inst. Detective Holmes applied for a remand to the 26th inst. Messrs Moloney and Blaftk raised no objection, and a remand wits granted.
