STAY IN PROCEEDINGS
CITY CASHIER’S CASE.

WELLINGTON, August 4
H was mentioned in ■ the Supreme Court to-day that the Crown proposed entering a stay of proceedings in the case of Arthur Wallace Richardson, cashier, charged with theft as a seivant from the City Rates Office. The Jury disagreed last week and a now trial was granted and was taking place this week, but it is not now intended by tbe. Crown to proceed.
