STATEMENT BY .MR BALDWIN. united Pr(>st» Aam* imaon By Eleot.ri. Telegraph— Copyright! LONDON, August 2. Declaring Britain is not done for by a very long way, Mr Baldwin addressing his eonstituteiits said -“If the Government made a determined, and great effort to restore the financial equilibrium they would have the Opposition's support, but it is the Government's responsilrlity. He did no f believe the Labour Government would last anoth r year. No Government would at present desire power, but for fine reason I am anxious for a change in imperial situation. We must chance an Imperial Conference, now that Australia and Canada are making an agreement. Wedon’t wart that to go on too long, with the Mother Country left out, otherwise we shah miss the' bus.”
