102 YEARS OLD
DEATH OF CENTEX A R lAN. 'lhj Telegraph — I‘er l J ress Association) ASHBURTON. August 3. Mrs Sarah Ami Trezise has died iri her 102nd. year. She was born at Croydon near London, on October 1829. and at the age of 25 married Alfred Blackburn. Nine years later they came to New Zealand and settled in Christchurch. Blackburn was appointed stat-ionmnster at Templeton in later being transferred to R aka in where they remained 18 years. 'Blackburn retired iii 1893 and died ia 1996. The widow married .John Trezise in 1909 and the latter died in 1911. .Mrs Trezise leaves two daughters, three sons, seventeen grandchildren, and over twenty-four greatgrandchildren. She retained her faculties till the last.
