Hokitika must be' complimented on their neat and workmanlike appearance and on the sporting game they played. ! In the first half Hokitika had the better of the play and scored two goals. In the second half play went in Reefton’s favour and one goal being scored and there being several close escapes from further scores. For the winners, 0. Stapleton at centre half was a tower of strength, while Mrs Butson, M. Hughes, M. Sumner and P. Dowell shone out from a well balanced team. For Reefton P. Kearns played her usual 9ol:d game, while A. Patterson, at half, put in great work, holding the team*together. Of the forwards, J. Taaffe, Mrs McCarthy and D, Perry were a dangerous trio.
