AT MT. COOK. By Telegraph—Per Press Association) TLYIAKU, July 27. The Aorangi 'Ski Club’s annual sport: ■oinmenced at Ball Hut, Mount Look egion, to-day. The weather was be ant i - ally fine, and splendid performances ,vere witnessed in the two events deeded. In the morning the champ.oilship was run over a course of fourteen niles, from a point on the Tasman Jlacier opposite Malte Brun, commencing n fan shape to control flags, through ahich the whole party had to go. After that, they followed a track broken by a guide who had half an hours start. The championship was won by Dt j Wood, of the Victoria Ski Club, in one hour six minutes. It o. Page, of Wellington, was second, he being two seconds behind the winner, C. H. Williams, of Christchurch, was third in one hour ten minutes. E. C. Perrier, of Christchurch, led r-,/'three milra. Then Page went to the front and remained there for four miles. Dt Wood add R. C.
