FALL FROM TRAIN. MAN KILLED. TAUMARANUI. July 27. Just after the south hound train, which left Taumaranui at ten thirty o’clock on Saturday night, arrived at Kakalii, the body of a- surfaceman, Robert E. Stanton, aged thirty-six, was found on the railway line by a porter. The head was almost severed front the body. When the train was nearing the station.. Stanton went out on ttie platform apparently to.jump off the train. No one saw the accident and its is si:r_ niised he slipped and fell in front of the van. Deceased was a native of Scotland.
