The New Zealand cricketers continued against the Combined Services. The wicket was easy and weather fine. Wilkinson and Shaw faced the New Zealand attack with ey.ery confidence and easily wiped off the Shaw was dropped by Kerr in the outfield off Vivian when. "59. The New Zealand and Combined Services match ended in a draw. The (highest first wicket partnership yet ’recorded against the New Zealanders was the feature of the Services innings. Matheson retired again troubled with a leg muscle. Shaw and Wilkinson for the Services were always masters of the attack and compiled 205 before they separated.
