CHRISTCHURCH, July 25. The second of the two well attended meetings in connection with the reorganisation of the Christchurch Branch of the Socialist Party, was field in the Trades Hall on Saturday, the 18th instant. At the first meeting the Executive Committee was strengthened by the appointment of five additional members. The meeting on Saturday last adopted the whole of the proposals submitted by the Executive and appointed a p"o----paganda committee to arrange for public meetings and the distribution and sale of literature. A Literature and Printing Committee was also set up and, given authority to have printed 1591 copies of a sixteen page pamphlet. The Secretary was instructed to write to the City Council for permission to hold meetings in the Cathedral Square and to have 500 membership cards printed and to make arrangements for a suitable room in which a class for training speakers could be held.
