A PUZZLING CASE

WOMAN FOUND UNCONSCIOUS

CHRISTCHURCH, July 23.

With the discovery of a woman lying unconscious on a footpath in Fitzgerald Avenue last evening, a puzzling case has been left for the police to elucidate.

The woman when brought to the hospital, recovered somewhat.and gave her name as Mrs Bain, and her address at Cashel Street. The woman was unconscious when p'cked up and bleeding from the' mouth, the result either of a fall or a blow. She is still unable to give a' coherent account of what happened, bilt her condition is not serious. Srie is 30 years of age.
