THE RESUMPTION. (British Official IFireiessJ . RUGBY, July 20. The India Office i.sues the names o', those invited to verve on the Federal Structure Committee of the India Round Table Conference, which is to resume its sessions in London in September. The original twenty-one apart from Sir Romaswami Ayiar (now acting as law member of the Viceroy’s Council) have been re-nominated.

New British members are: Mr Petlirick Lawrence, who with Lord Sankoy and Mr Lees Smith, will represent the Government and .Lord Haiisham for the Conservatives. Chief interest, however, attaches to the new Indian nominees, who did not take part in the last year’s proceedings, and among whom- is Mr Gandhi, who has been invited to represent the Indian National Congress. Other newcomers from India are Sir P. Tliakurdas and Sir Maneekji Dodabhov, two prominent business men: Mr Iyengar (editor of ‘•'Hiiulhu” and formerly secretary to the Congress), and Mr Pandit Mal.aviya., the oldest living politician in India, and a prominent Hindu leader.

The committee will begin ill liidia soon after September sth as possible. The Minorities Committee which is ib special charge of the eotum.umti problem, is expected to meet early in October. Tlie membership of this committee will also be increased.
