Following the di appearance of the British youth, Tharburai, Chinese military authorities are now detaining Doctor Francis Tucker, head of the American Board Mission Hospital at Tchchow, north-west of Shantung as a result of the shooting and killing of a Chinese caught in the act of robbing the mission hospital. The local Kuomiuteng branch are demanding Tucker’s execution and also an apology and indemnity for the dead Chinese relatives.
