'Our Own Correspondent.) v, Preparations are now well under way for the.' i u oss Fire Brigade's Annual Ball which takes place next Friday evening. .. \\.til/.* ll g compel:,tion will take place ip ;i :o all members of West Coast brigades (Firemen to appear in uniform), for which a silver cup will be presented to become the property of the winner if won twice in succession or three times at intervals. The cup is quite a handsome trophy and is now on view in the shop window of Mr J. K. McKay. In addition to the cup separate prizes will he donated to the lady and gent winners. The hall is being specially decorated with evergreens and streamers, the floor also is receiving special attention and with the Ross Orchestra supplying the music, patrons are assured of . spending an enjoyable evening.
