LOW PRICE LEVEL OF PRODUCE

“Anyone who thinks the grave problems we are up against to-day ape going to drift away with this winter have made a great mistake,” declared Mr E. Waite (Clutha) in the House. Mr Waite drew the attention of members to the continued low price level of produce, and pointed out that as yet there was not a gleam of hope for recovery in any part of the world. In the absence of any rise in the price level it was necessary for any plans dealing with the depression to he framed for next winter as well as the present one.
