IHe sen ice nc-.d in the Cathedral was conducted by Bishop SprOtt, assisted by Archdeacon A. M. Johnson. The princ pal mourners were the members of tlie family. The pall bear . ers were: Messrs R. J. S. Bean, W. ■ Hannah, W. Edwards, P. Edwards, Sir Cyril Ward and Air James Kerr. Amongst those present were Rt. Hon. Mr ( Forbes (Prime Minister.) n Hon. Mr IV. A. Veitch (Minister of Railways), Hon. Mr Smith (Minister of Labour), Hon. H. Atmore (Minister of Education), : Sir Michael Myers (Chief Justice), Hon. J. G. Coates, Mr. H. E. Holland, M.P., Sir William Hall. Jones, M.L.C.y Sir Henry Buckleton, Sir Harold Beauchamp, Mr Downier. Stewart, M.P,,. Sir John Luke, and Air Justice Kennedy, * ' '■ Numerous messages c-f sympathy, were received from, all parts of the Dominion, Yesterday the relatives of the late ■ Charles Parata (an old friend of: the family) expressed a desire to shoiy their affection, and placed a ltiwi * Alaori mat at the foot of the coffin. At the conclusion of the service, thecasket was placed in the family vault in the Sydney Street Cemetery, alongside the casket containing the remains of the late Mrs Secklon’s distinguished husband, the late Richard John Seddon .
