The Coal Mines Bill, introduced by the Government to deal with the situation arising from the expiry, to-morow of the period allowed by the previous legislation before the seven hours day became compulsory, has' passed all stages in the House of Lords, and has received the Royal assent. The Bill stabilisies the existing agreements for one year. -
