CONTINUES IN CANTERBURY.

CHRISTCHURCH, June 29

There was a heavy snowfall all over Canterbury to-day, after light tails with sleet and rain overnight. The hack country is all covered and stock may suffer if it continues. A number of breaks in the telegraph lines are reported, including one at Kirwee on the West Coast route, and ore north cf ICaikour.i, but communication is being maintained by use of other circuits.
