SYDNEY, June 28
The main topic of conversation in New South Wales at present is the Lang wage cut. Almost the entire population are fervently hoping that the Legislative Council on Monday will throw out the measure at all cost.-.
Business men . predict that there well cl he complete ruin if tie Bill were passed. Tney declare that money whicn legitimately should be spread in private enterprise would be divcited to th' rt government.
'The “Sydney Morning Herald.” in an editorial, appeals to the 1; gislative Council to save the country. It is now believed that the Council will adopt this course, irrespective oi the consequences.
A meeting of the members of that Council is being held prior to the reassembling of the Council. The Northern miners are hotly opposing Mr Lang’s wage tax.
