Hillig and Holris, the airmen from America, have landed at Bremen, and they are remaining overnight. Hillig is fifty-five years of age. He went to the United States at the age of fifteen. He became rich as a photographer.' He planned a triumphal homocoming. He took a passage in the Graf Zeppelin, but he was rejected at the last moment for a more influential passenger. He then met Holris, a German airman, and voiced his grievance. Holris then replied: “Buy a plane and I will fly you home!” WORLD CIRCUIT FLYERS. LEAVE. MOSCOW. MOSCOW, June 26. The airman, Post and G-a.tty, took off here bound for Novosibirsk, the new capital of Siberia, 2100 miles away. They intend remaining only one hour, for refuelling there. Though they had covered 5150 miles iti three days, managing with a minimum of sleep, they spent last night at a harquist tendered them by the Soviet authorities, who promised them assistance throughout Russia, BRITISH R.A.F. DISPLAY, RUGBY, June 25. It is estimated that nearly 750,000 people' will se?- the Royal Air Force dislnv on Saturday at Hendon, in which nearly 200 aircraft take part. Practically all types of aircraft including flying boats used by the Royal Air Force, will be represented. Thrilling events will include catapulting a giant twin-engined bomber, realistic air flights, parachute descents, crazy flying and inverted flying, and there will be a, parade of new and experimental air craft.
STACK AND CHAPLIN’S FAST FLIGHTS. RUGBY, June 24. Captain Neville Stack and Chaplin who yesterday made a record flight to Warsaw and back in one day, in a 530 horsepower Yiekers-Napier mailcarrying biplane, are planning to attempt a flight to Indira and back in six days. They recently flew 2000 miles to Constantinople in one day and also made the return journey in one id-rp. The fastest time for the India return journey is 7£ days, accomplished bv Captain Bernard, when accompanied by the Duchess of Bradford two years ago.
