It is announced to-day that Sutcliffe and Larwood are unavailable for England’s test eleven and will be replaced respectively by Woolley and Allen. Larwood sprained an ankle playing at Worcester yesterday. Although # £!utcl'ffo is declared unfit, he made ltT against Hampshire yesterday. The Selection Committee d.'cided it would be unfair to play him with knowledge that a substitute fieldsman might 'he required. ■ New Zealand took, full advantage of warm weather to-day to' practice at Lords. Fine weather is predicted for the week end. x A special police guard is watching the pitch from ' this evening until Tuesday.
