CRICKET
Great interest will be shown throughout New Zealand in the test match between England and New Zealand, which commences to-morrow morning at Lords. The' New Zealand team have been showing excellent form, and in their last match, all round, members have shown glimpses of their best, su that they should be able to make a good showing even against England’s best. The ,play of the New Zealanders in England has been of such a class that England has taken ho chance? and the test team is acknowledged to
be a very strong one. The New Zea’land team has not yet been announced, but it is practically known, only the last two places remaining to be filled. It is to be hoped that the weather and other conditions will allow of New Zealand showing o. their best, and then their play should prove a genersatisfying one. The news ot the first day’s play should be available on Sunday at mid day.

The New Zealand cricketers are enjoying a three days much needed i'e-stj prior to the test at Lords. They were entertained at the International Horse Show at Olympia last evening and to-day watched the lawn tennis championships at Wimbledon. They have net practice at Lords tomorrow.
Several players are receiving treatment for muscle strains, but there are no serious injuries.
The test eleven will not be, chosen until Saturday morning, when the weather will probably be the deciding factor in filling the last two places. Mr Donnelly, Chairman of the New Zealand Council, arrived to join the team. He hopes to discuss with the M.C.C. the prospects of future tours by English teams. •
Considerable interest is being taken in the test, and tickets are selling rapidly. Given fine weather, a large attendance is assured. THE TEAM WELL. CHRISTCHURCH, June 26. Aj cable message has been' received by the Secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, from Air Donnelly (Chairman of the Council) who has just arrived in London, to the effect that all is well with the team, except the weather. Administration arrangements are satisfactory, and a good gate is certain for the test match.

Sutcliffe has not recovered from his strained leg and Woolley replaces hint in the Test ten iff.
