FOR SETTLER MEMBERS. {fly Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 24. The election of officers at the conference of the N.Z. R.S.A. resulted as follows: President, Sir A. Russell; Vice-Presidents, Sir Geo. Richardson (Auckland), B. J. Jacobs (Wellington) and W. D. Skelton (Otago): Dominion Hon. Treasurer, Mr J. D. Harper; General Committee, Messrs A. T. Duncan, C. W. Batten, N. A. Vedeoe, E. F. Wilcox, 0. L. Ferens.and G. A. C. Sexton; Delegate to the Canteen Fund. Board, Col. G. Aldred; to the N.Z. Farmers’ Union, Mr M.* McComiehie ; to the War Pensions Board, Mr J. D. Harper. The Conference carried remits that (in necessitous cases of returned soldier mortgagors under the State Advances Department, the mortgagors should have the right to obtain a. readjustment of their terms of mortgage on proper application; that while net, expressing any dissatisfaction with the existing Laud Boards, representations be made to the Government to enab’e the Returned Soldiers’ Association to have representation oil the Land Boards; that the Government be urged to introduce legislation providing for the revolution of the house properties secured to the Crown under the D.S. Act, or the State Advances Department.
