NEAR BEARING HEAD. (11]) Teleijraph—Per tress Association) WELLINGTON, June 23. ; A wireless message was received by the Marine Department at 9.30 o’clock this morning from HALS. Wakakura, which left Wellington shortly before 8 o’clock this morning for Auckland. • lit stated that she had passed sunken wreckage ahd a roast standing about two feet above the water at a point approximately one mile and a half south of Baring Head. The Government steamer Janie Scddon, was sent out to make investigations, but slie returned shortly before 2.30 this afternoon, and reported that no wreckage had been seen. The captain said the visibility was extremely bad, and the seas w.c-re rough enough to hide any trace of wreckage, unless there were a vessel right on top of it. Masters of vessels are advistd to keep a sharp lookout for wreckage.-
