THE CHEERFUL TRAVELLER
THE SUNRISE NEVER FAILED US YET. Upon tin 1 sadness of the sea The sunset broods regretfully; From the far lonely spaces slow Withdraws the wistl.d after-glow. So out of life the splendour dies , So darken all the happy skies, So gathers twilight, cold and stern, Hut overhead the planets burn. And up the east another day Shall chase the hitter dawn away: What though our eyes with tears he wet! The sunrise never failed us yet. The blush of dawn may yet restore Our light, and hope l , and joy once more ; Sad soul, take comlort. nor forget That sunrise never failed us yet. CJ. Thaxtod. *7C -W' vv -XHe yourself. Ape no greatness. He willing to pass for what you are. A good farthing is hotter than a had sovereign. Affect no oddness; but dare to lie right, though you have ro he singular. S. Coley.
