A NEWS AGENT’S WILL
FAMILY SEEK PROVISION. (By Telegraph—Per Tress Association) DUNEDIN, June 10. The question whether Frank Mace, news agent, of St. Ivilda, was under any obligation to make provision in his will for his children was argued in the Supreme Court to-day. Testator left the whole of his estate, valued at £3583, to his stepdaughter, Mrs Sarah Ellen Griffin, who kept house for him during the last few years of his life. A son, Frank Mace, a working jeweller, of Christchurch, proceeding under the Family Protection Act. sought provision from the will in view of the fact that he had been in ill-health, and that his earning power had been seriously curtailed. Claims on behalf of another son and daughter were also before the Court which, after hearing legal argument, reserved its decision.
