FAT STOCK PRICES. the sales of nu sheep and fai lambs a tlie Metropolitan Market at Addi ginu *,n Wednesday were outstanding, that of fat sheep being particularly so. The number penned was 10000 which would lie* considered a very heavy yarding at any time. Export buyers operated to a new increased schedule for ewe mutton and this had its effect throughout the sale. Ewes sold steadily at rates a shilling a head in advance of those of last week. The market f r w 1 hers was rather less steady, but the i-icrease in this section was also a slicing a head. The top price for v. ethers is the* highest since Decor,sbe* last v-'-nr.

Tlie quality ot the lambs forward was i xeeptionally good. A very large P'oporlion of the offering realised prices in the neighbourhood of £1 a head.
