e VFRYBCDYS PICTURES. TO-NIGHT AND SATURDAY. “LOVE IN THE ROUGH.” r CAPTIVATING MUSICAL TALKIE WITH EXPERT CAST. Something new in screen treatment of musical comedy may be seen in “Love in the Rought,” Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer’s picturisation of the stage hit, “Spring Fever,” which opens at at the Princess Theatre to-night. Although strictly a musical comedy, this delightful film betrays none of ‘the stilting devices so commonly noted in screen transitions of this sort, it is not only highly entertainingly musically, but packs a thoroughly human story without intrusions of dancing choruses to slow up the story. Charles F. (Chuck) Reisner has mnn- , aged a splendid directorial task and his interpolation of the tuneful song numbers is admirably effected. Robert Montgomery is featured and is teamed with Dorothy Jordan, and Benny Rubin and Dorothy MeNnifty are paired off in comedy parts. News, ' 2/6, 1/6, children 6d.
