EXTRAVAGANT LIVING
PROTECTiON FOR A YOUTH.

AUCKLAND, June 10
When an Auckland youth was arrested last month on a charge of being unlawfully in possession of a revolvei and appeared for sentence, it was stated that accused, whose name was sup pressed, had inherited a fortune which he was alleged to have been squandering in extravagant living. It "’as also stated that he intended buying Oscar Garden’s ’plane to fly to England, although he had no pilot’s ticket. On the advice of the Maigstrate, accused agreed to place the money in the hands of trustees. This course had been followed.
In convicting and discharging accused, Mr Hunt, S.M., remarked that the prosecution bad resulted in £6OOO being saved for the youth.
