AN INVENTION

ELIMINATING GEAR CHANGING. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 8 a.m*) ADELAIDE, June Successful tests were made of a device which entirely eliminates gear changing in motor cars and other vehicles, which is predicted to revolutionise motoring. The inventor is Howard J. Hobbs, 28, a son of a market gardener at Paradise near Adelaide. His experiments occupied ten years in his father’s farm sheds. He leaves for England to morrow im order to try and place his invention on the market.

The invention has been tried on a British baby car for thousands of miles and was completely successful.
