The Special State Defence Tribunal continued its sitting after the execution of Sehirru, and the trial is now proceeding of seven Alilan “intellectuals,” who are charged with plotting against the constitution. The accused are confined in a large cage. Their ages range from 2l veal's to 20 years. It i.s alleged that they have belonged to an organisation called “Justice— Liberty,” the objects of which are stated to be violent opposition against the Fascist State and the reconstruction of the ALiseonic lodges. ITALIAN TRIALS. THE SENTENCES. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) ROME, May 31. The trial of intellectuals cabled this morning ended in two of the most prominent, Signor Bauer and Professor Crossi being sentenced to twenty years’ imprisonment, Professor Robert! and ain engineer named Cainco to ten years, the aviator Yiezzoli to six years.
