DEFINITION OF MARK. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON. Mny 28. At a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union last evening, confirmation was sought by New Zealand Referees Association of the Union’s interpretation of a mark. The Union uphold the previous resolution that a mark could only he allowed when a player had both feet, on the ground and claimed the mark by making a heel mark immediately he caught the Imll. For the purposes of ruling, it was decided that the word immediately could be taken to mean simultaneously.
The following players will represent the Rival Club in their match with •/tars at Grevmouth on Saturday. Bus leaves Newman’s Garage at 1 p.rn.— Garter, Stopforth, O’Connor, Dawson, Pfahlert, ’Houston. Webster, Schist. P-erson, McLean (2), Sm.vthe, Martin, Monk, Hutchison, Larcombe, Mitchell.
