Newman, one of the Union’s best supporters, and he moved that a letter conveying the deep sympathy of members be conveyed to the relatives. Seconded by Mr McGregor and carried. MATCHES FOR MAY 30th. SENIORS. Excelsiors v. United, 3 p.m. Rivals v. Stars, 3 p.m. JUNIORS. Excelsiors v Kiwi at Hokitika. (Air E. Best referee). Messrs A. Cutfinsh and D. Heenau were appointed referees to the senior games. I NAVA R D COR R F-SPON DEN’CE. From AVest Coast Rugby Union in reference to matches, asking that referees' reports he forwarded anil that matches be started as promptly as possible.—Received. The application of Edwin Lewis 'for transfer to Kiwis was approved. AV. Flail was graded as a junior. From Referees, reports on matches. —Received and considered satislactory.' Rule hooks were handed out to the four clubs. The delegate of the Referees’ Association (Mi- A. Outhush) submitted various matters for consideration. The meeting then terminated.
