New Zealand cricketers continued their match at Glamorgan. The weather was fine and wicket, although < overed over the week-end, inclined to he tricky. The attendance was lour thousand. Another century by Dempster was the feature of the day’s play. Page declared at the tea adjournment and at stumps Glamorgan had 4 for 118. Weir batted slowly and has not yet struck form. Kerr, Vivian, Talbot and Page were dismissed when attempting to force the pace. Blunt was unimpressive and gave two chances. Meanwhile Dempster was defending resolutely with the wicket playing trickily, Dempster w»s content to wait for a loose ball for Scoring shots and was batting less certain than usin'!’. He reached ‘the century ;in 275 minutes. The scoring brightened when CYomb assisted .to punish the tiring attack. Tlu> pair added 91 !•>. an hour, Croinb scoring 52 in attractive style. Jones, a left hander, aged twenty, captured all the New Zealand wickets. He bowled particularly well. Dyson batted excellently for Glamorgan and was dismissed with the last ■ball before stumps were drawn. Tbe New Zealanders maintained a high standard of fielding. NEW ZEALAND —First Innings.
