SCENE AT ST PAUL’S

MAX INTERJECTS PREACHER. i United Press Association. —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright). (Received 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, May 24. I hey. J. \Y. Woodliouse was about to deliver a sermon at St. Pauls when an inoffensive looking middle aged man seated in the nave began a declamation beginning:—“ln the na>:r)e, of the Pope” and continuing a series of confused references to the Labour Government and Archbishop of Canterbury. As the scandalised murmers oi the large congregation threatened to render him inaudible, he started shouting causing worshippers to rise. Vergers and constables seized the interjector and lifted him struggling from the chair and ejected him, while the resourceful organist turned on the full diapason and drowned the final shouts of defiance.
