Dentil ended a Whitsuntide holiday of four people when a two seater sedan crashed into railway gates near Lewes and struck the Brighton-Hast-ings express. It was demolished and hurled fiftv yenrds across an embankment into a ditch. One of the men victims was stripped except lor his boots, and the turn-up of his trousers was still dinging to his ankles. The other three, a man and two sisters, were terribly mutilated.
