INCENDIARISM
BIRKETTS’ GARAGE FIRE. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 22. Coroner Woodward delivered the finding in Bivkett and Sons garage fire today. He says: The conclusions to which the evidence leads me as to the origin and cause of the fire ape : That it was feloniously set alight ; in the vicinity of the chain hoist on the ground floor on the 20th. ultimo about eleven thirty p.m., after preparations had been made to ensure the rapid and complete destruction of the premises, and their contents. The present inquiry does not disclose the identity of the person or persons guilty of the incendiarism.
