PISTOL ACCIDENT

Herbert Chapman, ex-district traffic manager of is in Lewisham hospital*suffering from a severe wound in the abdomen as a result of an accident while unloading a pistol at his home in Cashmere. Though a painful injury, he is recovering slowly. Curious circumstances surround the mishap. Recently the police rang up Chapman and fixed an appointment to inspe c t the pistol and its license. It was while Chapman was -preparing the weapon, which is a curio, that the mishap occurred •
