WHOLESALE THIEVING.

{By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHBISTCHURCH, May 22. Before Magistrate Mosley, William Baldock, 20 years, was convicted of theft of eighteen bicycles, and was sentenced to Borstal for two years. Sub-Inspector O’Hara said that the accused was the son ol a South Canterbury farmer. It was his system to steal hikes from the streets and take them to a dealers where he sold them. Accused also used fictitious names. In Timaru the accused stole six bicycles and coming to Christchurch lie stole twelve more cycles, and for eleven obtained GO 15s from dealers. Accused evidently thought the wholo matter out, said the Sub-Inspector and was very cunning.
