Motorists representatives from all parts of New Zealand are eontereucing to-day, Mr O’CnUaghan, youth Taranaki, presiding.

It was decided to wait on the Minister to ask that the Motor Vehicles Act he amended so that it should he tne only Act under whi c h local bodies could make by-laws-To approach the Government to have the law amended in the direction of a!Wring the present practice under which rests are not awarded against, the Crown to successful defendants or appcabii'l.s in traffic prosecution^. It was resolved to urge the Government to provide that- a]l bicycles be painted white at the rear, red reflectors being considered inefficient . It was decided to seek legislation prohibiting the use ot glaring hend lights on stationary vehicles,

That unions of the two island* unite in an endeavour to secure the elimination of all roadside advertising hoardings in rural districts, also b-M'diugH otT railway property, nt or near level evosisings, except m cities oi lurt»e towns. . ■
