ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH. .May 20. There was not much alteration in prices at to-dav’s live stock sale at Addington. There was a small yarding of beef, Ini) verv few outstanding cattle were yarded. Tlie market opened at an advance on last week blit slipped to nodnial at the closing stages. The store land) market comprised all small lots .Forward .sorts sold readily. Ewe lambs were easier. Inferior lots were sold at late rates.
Tlie store sheep were a small yarding, chiefly odd lots. The quality was only medium. Late rates were maintained.
The fat lambs comprised chiefly tail end lots, with a few outstanding consignments. Competition was keen, and in excess of the recent schedule rates.
There was a smaller yarding of mutton. mixed in quality, with some wellfinished Jots .Wethers were on par with late rates . Heavy ewes were easier, and medium lots met a better sale. Best prime wethers sold to 19s lOd, prime 14s to ]fis fid, medium ils fid to 13s fid, light 8s fid to 11s. Best ewes..sold to 14s 9d. prime Us to 13s, medium 10s to lls fid. light 8s fid to 9s 9d, inferior from 6s fid.
