HAMILTON, May 19
When the engineering firm of Treloar’s went voluntarily into liquidation it dispensed with the services o'f an apprentice, Norman Eric De Lacy. Subsequently De Lacy sued Treloar’s for the termination of his apprenticeship. claiming £3OO. In a reserved judgment, Magistrate Wilson awarded £BO damages, which were computed to be wages the plaintiff was preventers from earning (through bis dismissal, and also to compensate him for the loss of opportunity to qualify as a journeyman
