FOOD RELIEF
POLICE SUPERVISION WITHDRAWN.

SYDNEY. May 18. Police supervision in the food relief depots on the South Coast is to be withdrawn. As a result, the local committees, it is thought, will have difficulty in preventing eases ol imposition.
Representations of the Miners Union Trades and Labour Council and unemployed, met tin' Minister of Education. Mr Davies, who granted a request (fiat tin? local committees act without the presence of the police. The deputation also asked that a< immediate inquiry be held into tin “callous action of the police in dealing with the unemployed'’ at Bulli and Pori Kembln last week.
Mr Davies promised lie would recommend to Cabinet that such an inquiry should he held.
