ON INTEREST REMITS. (Australian Press Association.) CANBERRA, May 15. Answering a questioner in the House of Representatives, Hon. E. G. Theodore, Federal Treasurer, said that the overseas debt incurred by Australia since the Labour Government took office amounted to £13.334,000, on which a portion of the interest was provided from London funds, and the remainder by remittance from Australia. The cost of the exchange and of the bank charge on the latter remittances had amounted to £1.197,000.
