LATEST PROPOSAL. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association > PALMERSTON N., May 8. At an enthusiastic meeting of citizens, lest evening, at Pa'.merson Nor tithe following resolution was carried after hearing a number of speakers including Mr Poison M.P.: That this meeting representative of citizens of Palmerston North and district, are of the opinion that in order to ensure security, engender confidence, enhance the country’s credit and to avoid any possibility of political chaos and confusion, there should be formed from the existing political parties, a National Government to carry the country through the present crisis..
