THE NEW LIFE
AN ACTOR'S VIEWS. (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrignt.) (Received 9.~> a.m.) LONDON, May 8. “I am too horrified to discuss details of the scene. All 1 can say is the man is not yet dead,” declared Earnest Thesiger a well-kowii ncoor, who in the course of a crushing indictment of modern youth recounted how at a cocktail party a young man suddenly exclaimed, “If you dare me IT! cut my throat.” Another young fellow dared him and lie did it.” On another occasion added The- ' singer, “a girl of my acquaintance rushed up to me and said, “wlmt do you think?, the day before yesterday I married a millionaire,” and before I had time to congratulate her. she added “and I hate him.” Som.» people have nothing but praise lor out young people, but it seems to me fnev have gone adrift since the war. The reason they do these mad terrible things is because they have nothing to do ami are bored.”
