Slrceran, Iran/, Josef U'acici guides, were succossiuk in making the ascent of Glacier Rcak 10,uO lcet am. Douglas Peak 10,300 feet on 2< Li am. 28tli April, the ascent being made from the now hut on Chancellor Ridge. The route followed' was across the Fox Glacier Neve and up tilth west snow face of Glacier Peak, and from there along the main divide and north west arete, to the summit of Douglas Teak.
* This is only the second time that 'Don<ilas -Peak has been ascended, and Miss Gardiner is the first woman to reach the summit. The first ascent of these two mountains was made by .Dr E. Tcichelmann, Rev. H. E. Newton and AU‘x Graham, from a bivouac on Pioneer Ridge, at the head of Lie Fox Glacier in Fel. ruarv 1907. , _
