Soviet’s aggressive mnlti-tongued propaganda broadcasts from student stations, even interfering with those in Britain, found a speedy retort from Germany, who began a broadcast war exposing the shortcomings of the Soviet system. The first lecture consisted of eve-witnesses’ unsparing description of Russia’s unhygienic and overcrowded homes, shoddily drdssed citizens and unclean and inadequate food.
