GIRL WALKING THE STREETS. AUCKLAND, April 27. A girl of 17 appeared before /Mr F. K. Hunt at the Police Court this morning and pleaded guilty to a charge deeming her to be an idle and disorderly person with insufficient means of support. (v- ---“ This girl, unable to get, employment, has no home and for some time she lias been walking around the streets,” said Detective-Sergeant Kelly, “She was led into an illicit life by two taxi drivers. Arrangements have now been made for her to go to Mount Magdala. Christchurch.” The Magistrate consigned accused to the home for two years. An order for the suppression of her name was made.
